Rates for therapy are $150 for a 50-minute session. You may select to pay cash, check, debit or credit card.
I am contracted with Anthem and UnitedHealthcare (UHC) insurances for United Food and Commercial Workers (UFCW Local 770) Employers Trust Fund through HMC Healthworks.
What If I have insurance that you do not accept, but wish to see you for therapy?
Here are the steps you will need to take:
First of all it is important to know that you must qualify for a mental health diagnosis in order to have insurance reimburse you for treatment. If you prefer not to have a diagnosis on your medical record, you have the option to receive services without using your insurance.
Call your insurance company to find out if you have any out-of-network behavioral health benefits. Most insurance policies provide you with some level of coverage.
For clients wishing to go this route, here is what to expect:
You pay for therapy sessions out of pocket at each session. I am happy to provide you with a detailed receipt to help you seek reimbursement from your insurance company. You submit the receipt to your insurance company and, depending on your out-of-network benefits, your insurance company will reimburse you directly.
Health Savings Accounts (HSA)
Fortunately, tax laws have created new programs that may help you pay for your therapy, even if you pay out of pocket. These include Health Savings Accounts (HSA). You can also deduct the cost of therapy from your taxes if you itemize it as a medical expense. Ask your Accountant or Compensation and Benefits Administrator if you qualify for either program.
