The Unmothered Circle is a facilitated group experience led by Amelia Mora Mars, LMFT. It meets weekly for eight weeks in person at her Westlake Village office.
The group is intentionally small, a maximum of six women per cohort, so that every person in the room has space to be known, not just heard. This is not a place to sit quietly in the back. It is a place to do the work alongside women who understand it from the inside.
The group process itself is part of the healing. What you could not receive from your mother, being witnessed, held, told you are enough, begins to be repaired in relationship with other women who are doing the same work beside you.
Understanding how your mother's emotional unavailability shaped the way you see yourself and move through the world
Tracing the pattern back through three generations to understand where it actually began
Grieving what you did not receive without being consumed by it
Learning to stay present in hard emotional moments instead of shutting down or flooding
Rebuilding trust in your own instincts, emotions, and sense of self
Being witnessed by women who understand, and letting that witnessing begin to repair what was broken
The application takes about ten minutes. It helps Amelia understand where you are right now, whether The Unmothered Circle is the right fit for this season of your healing, and which cohort time works best for your schedule.
There are no wrong answers. Only honest ones. Amelia reviews every application personally and will be in touch within two business days.
